In the BTA system hole making process, fluid under pressure flows to the setting edge over the O.D. of the boring bar and head, and exhausts with the chips through the I. D. of the boring bar.  Clean filtered fluid flows constantly over the outside of the head, thus lubricating the guide pads which act as a burnishing tool to produce a smoother finish, and capable of high rate of feed.  Hole depth is obtainable as much as 150 diameters or deeper. 

The standard gun drill has the following characteristics: the diameter is small and the hole is deep, the longest gun drill can reach 3000mm, the surface roughness of the processed workpiece is Ra0.4-1.6, the hole diameter accuracy is IT7-9, and the straightness of the hole is high.  And there is no burr in the orifice, and the repeatability of precision is good.  The advantage is that there is no need to retract the tool halfway, and the processing is completed at one time, so the efficiency is very high.  This product adopts imported cemented carbide and foreign advanced manufacturing technology.  It has high processing precision, long service life and lower price than imported products.  It is a product with high cost performance.  Specifications range from 3.0-45.0 in diameter and 500mm-3000mm in length.
